Mineral Spirits D40 is a non-aromatic (aliphatic/isoparaffinic) hydrocarbon solvent with a medium boiling range, fast evaporation and low odour. It is widely used in paints, inks, cleaning agents, drilling fluids and many industrial applications.

Mineral Spirits D40 is a highly refined mixture of aliphatic hydrocarbons with a boiling range of about 158–195°C, a flash point of about 40°C and a very low aromatic content. 6. Safety, Storage and Transportation

• Store in a dry, cool warehouse; keep drums on pallets and away from direct sunlight.
• Keep containers closed when not in use; keep away from open flame, sparks, static electricity and heat sources (flammable product).
• Separate from strong oxidisers and incompatible chemicals.
• Do not discharge large quantities into drains, surface water or groundwater.
• Protect cargo from rain, secure the load, avoid static build-up and keep labels intact.
• In case of eye contact, rinse with clean water for at least 15 minutes. If large amounts of vapour are inhaled, move the person to fresh air and seek medical attention.
